Narrow grow bed for easier harvest?

I’m planning my first build and reflected on my experience building a 4 ft.wide aquaponics grow bed. I prefer an arm-length width (or shorter) for grow beds in order to manage and harvest without having to walk around it. Is customizing a FarmBot size simply only a matter of changing the size of materials or is there some more complicated setup work to do (ie., coding, weights calculations, etc.)?

Otherwise, do the automated functions of the FarmBot system make up for having to walk around it?

You will probably need to change a few setting in the firmware. But with a little searching I bet it wouldn’t be hard to figure out.
