Motors dont responde to signals

Hello there,

i’m not quite sure if im in the rigth forum, since all other posts are talking about advanced stuff. Anyway if im not, maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

We are trying to set up the farmbot, here at the university. We have set up everything as documented in the Farmbot Software Docs.

Anyway it is possible to connect to the rasperry pi via the web application. We can also turn the motors in one direction. But for some reasons we cant turn the motor in the other direction plus the web application doesnt know the position of the axis. It always just gives out 3 question - marks for the coordinates plus we get the error message DebugR99

Here is some of the Log of the web application:

Has anyone got an idea, what we did wrong?

We would really appreciate some help, if anyone has got an idea.

Hey there,

So the FarmBot software is very much in an Alpha state right now. You’re not the only ones having problems with it.

You’re probably using a very old and somewhat stable version of the web app available at my.farmbot.io. While we have it there for people to play around with, it is very old code that is beginning to work less and less as we update other components of the system such as the Raspberry Pi controller and the Arduino Firmware.

You can preview and try out the latest web application software at staging.farmbot.io but this version is usually very unstable and can change/break daily as we work on it.

We’re probably about a month out from pushing a stable update to my.farmbot.io. Until then, the best advice I can give to you is to wait for the software to mature and become more stable/useful. This is just the price to pay for being a super early adopter

If you’re interested in helping develop the software, email me at rory@farmbot.io!
