We recently updated our FarmBot and after we did, we started having trouble with the x-axis encoder. When the encoder is toggled to on in the web app, and you tell the FarmBot to move to a position, it will move 3 or 4 times in very, very small amounts, virtually going no where, and then stops moving. Once I turn the encoder off, it starts acting normal again.
Has anybody had this problem or anything similar to this?
Check your motor and encoder inversion settings. If toggling those doesn’t work, try experimenting with different movement and encoder settings. Visiting troubleshooting failed movements could help rule out a non-equalized gantry or other hardware issue, but from what you’ve described, it sounds like the only change was the software.
My farmbot have the same trouble on Y-axis. Did you solve this problem? Would you please tell me how to solve this problem?
