12V and 5V ttl input on Z axis

Hi

I wonder if it would be possible to extend farmbot in a way that a tool that requires 12 V and 5V ttl input is mounted onto the Z axis? is it possible to get some extra cables from the board to the Z axis?

thanks

martin

Hello Martin,

Yes there is a way to do this but you will need to add the correct jumpers on the Farmduino.

Can you check the documentation on Farmduino?

Marc

Could you run a 7mm power cable @ 12v, and use a UBEC or equivalent to step down the voltage on the end effector (end of the Z axis where the UTM is)? This would reduce the amount of cabling - assuming all you need is USB-like power requirements.
