Farmbot disconnects from network, repeated firmware initialization

Hi,

We are having trouble with the Wifi connection between the Farmbot and our office Wifi network.
We are working with a Farmbot kit Genesis 1.4 and the Farmbot OS release 7.0.1.

After the Wifi setup we successfully get to see the Farmbot in the Webapp, but after 10 minutes or so, the Farmbot disconnects and seems to reboot after the log “Firmware is being stubbed” (Warning Level). After the reboot, the link between the Message Broker and the Farmbot is shown in yellow, as well as between Raspberry and Arduino. Diagnosis Message is the following:
FarmBot and the browser are both connected to the internet (or have been recently). Try rebooting FarmBot and refreshing the browser. If the issue persists, something may be preventing FarmBot from accessing the message broker (used to communicate with your web browser in real-time). If you are on a company or school network, a firewall may be blocking port 5672. (code 26)

We already checked the firewall with the IT team but it doesn’t seem to be the issue, since that port has been open.

Logs show the following:

As you can see, it seems to enter in a loop while trying to initialize the firmware. We already flashed the SD card several times and also thought it could be an issue with the Access Point distance to the Farmbot, but today we managed to keep the Farmbot connected for 20 minutes or so before it started rebooting again. We also disabled the Factory Reset and the autoupdates check just in case.

Any help will be appreciated, thanks!

UPDATE: it started to work fine four hours ago.

I had posted about the same problem and it would seem that at least two others are experiencing the same behavior.
Our Farmbot is still offline. Did you do anything that lead to getting your Farmbot online again?

Hi,
Yes, I noticed there are other people having similar issues :frowning: sorry to say it seems that the system recovered all by itself.
Even though we had the auto-updates disabled, the OS updated to v7.0.2 and since then it works fine.
What I don’t understand is that the previous day we flashed the microSD card with v7.0.2 and we had the same problems as with 7.0.1.
Try flashing again the Farmbot with 7.0.1 and let it update to 7.0.2 and see if it works. I hope you can get the Farmbot working soon!

Hi Guys,

Same issue here. I’ll have a go at re-configuring it with 7.0.1. It was working fine with that.

Thanks,
Mark
