Hello everyone
I currently live in an appartment in a city with no option for urban gardening.
I just got however a piece of land in the countryside, a 90mn drive. The goal is to be self-sufficient in the distant future (with poultry, fish and so on) but for the next 2 years, I’m thinking of putting a farmbot in a greenhouse there to kickstart the project and have a base.
Since I still have to stay in the city, I have two questions:
- Is it possible to leave the farmbot unattended for a long period of time and only come every 4 weeks to pick up veggies and do maintenance work? Or it needs more regular human attendance
- Does anyone have experience running a farmbot in a greenhouse in cold Canadian winter (up to -35C)? Anything I should know?
Let me know if you have any thoughts on this. If this is not feasible, I’ll unfortunately have to wait 2 years until I settle there to start the project.
Thanks for any insights
