Farmduino aux dc output max A

Hi, I’m planning to connect additional lamps to the auxiliary ports of my system, but I can’t find information on the maximum current (A) these ports can handle. Could you clarify this?

HI @ptakun
Some posts in this forum discuss Peripheral loading . . worth searching.
The Farmduino schematics are Open Source and published in a shared Google drive folder.

Note that the entire incoming 24VDC source is fused with a 7.5A blade fuse.
Also note that the 5 Peripheral switched ports share the whole “24VDC supply budget”.
The FarmBot-supplied power adapter is 150W max (i.e. about 6A max).

Edit

I forgot the load of the Raspberry Pi and its attached LEDs and buttons etc.
Including this leaves approximately 5A total across the combined 5 switched Peripheral ports.
The maximum load on any single Peripheral port is really a question for the FarmBot Designer.
Based on the size of the PCB traces I would limit continuous load current to 1.5A (i.e. 36W)

You need to be aware of the total current load when all your connected Peripherals are switched on.

Here are some snippets of the v1.6 schematic
