Gen 7 tool connection

We are having an ongoing issue with our FarmBot tools not properly verifying or connecting through the UTM. The FarmBot recognizes the tool bay, but the tools themselves either fail verification or intermittently disconnect during operation.

We have already:

  • Checked wiring and tool connections
  • Restarted the FarmBot and FarmBot OS
  • Re-seated the tools multiple times
  • Confirmed magnets/connectors appear aligned
  • Contacted support, but have not yet received a solution

Current symptoms include:

  • Tool verification failing
  • UTM not consistently detecting attached tools
  • Jobs stopping because the tool is reported as disconnected

Has anyone else experienced this issue recently? If so:

  • What ended up causing it?
  • Was it hardware, firmware, calibration, or a connector issue?
  • Are there any specific diagnostics we should run?
