Hi, I’m looking for an overview of the main differences between the Genesis 1.2 versus 1.5 (not XL or Max). I may be able to buy a 1.2 used and want to see if I’d be missing out on anything huge. I searched the forums but can only find some scant info on changes in 1.4 and 1.5 versions but it doesnt seem complete. Thank you
I own a v1.2 and from memory, the biggest changes are:
- no longer uses RAMPS + Arduino but uses “Farmduino” microcontroller.
- vacuum is no longer in the power box but instead mounted directly on the z-axis to decrease the vacuum tube length (therefore making the vacuum more powerful).
For the latter there should be an upgrade kit in the store to get you from 1.2 to 1.3 hardware (it’s basically a rain cover for your vacuum pump which I suppose you could also print yourself).
