@RickCarlino have you had any external open source contributors work on a feature like this in the past?
Just wondering if we fork the code and start work on it how difficult (i.e. has it been done before) the merge back to the main branch will be?
Also asking as a change like this cuts deep into almost every repo \ software layer you have.
