MyFarmBot OS has been really laggy lately

Hi, I am having an issue where the myfarmbot software on the brower and on the app are really laggy and super unresponsive, failing constantly and not loading. I don’t understand why has this been happening the last week and am wondering if this is a problem for anyone else, as well as what I can do to resolve this. I have tried multiple browsers, computers, and wifi sources.

What kind of device are you using? Windows Computer? MacOS? Mobile Device?

I’ve also found it to be quite unstable, particularly on mobile (iPhone), as previously mentioned here: January 7, 2026 Software Update - #2 by farmS1m

I use a windows computer and my mobile apple device, both are having issues

Thanks for sharing your experiences. For an immediate fix, I recommend turning off the 3D farm designer beta and using the more stable and performant 2D farm designer.

We’ve been building out the 3D farm designer over the last two years and are nearing feature parity with the 2D designer. However, recently, we’ve been finding ourselves pushing up against performance limitations, where the app suffers from low FPS (frames per second) when a garden has many objects in it (points, plants, etc) and this is exacerbated by running the app on a less performant device (a Chromebook, for example). Over the last one to two months we have been shifting our focus towards improving the 3D code to use less memory, demand fewer draw calls, and at the end of the day achieve a higher and more stable FPS.

We now have an FPS check integrated into our CI pipeline and are exploring numerous avenues to make improvements. You can expect the next release to focus almost exclusively on performance enhancements!

Yeah, the interface is mostly unusable right now. I have never used the “3D beta” and I basically can’t move through screens. Trying to go through sequences is particularly painful. It is the same for me on Windows/Chrome, Windows/Edge and Android/Chrome.

I have found issues using Chrome and Safari.

Safari, often refreshes the screen because the page is using too much memory and Chrome crashes on a regular basis.

Edge browser is stable so I have not idea what is going on
