I’ve been working on a line of tools for the UTM and was curious of the benefits of a cylindrical UTM verses a cubic version?

I would love to hear more about your tools, though. The UTM was designed for third-party addons and we really do like seeing folks adding new capabilities to the platform.
@Sjamesparsons the choice for the UTM and tools to be cylindrical was mostly an aesthetic choice 
Though you could also make the argument that the cylindrical design is also less likely to catch on plant foliage than a cubic design, though that benefit is probably minimal.
