Hi all, have any of you had any experience using a USB NIC to iron out connectivity issues?
@ndam There may be some edge cases that we have not handled. Most people who do this are Express users who want to add ethernet support to their device. In those cases, it does usually work, but we have not tried it with a wireless USB device. The kernel that ships with FBOS does support more network interfaces than the ones needed, though, so it could be possible.
If your network interface is supported, you will see a third option appear in WiFi configurator. If you only see two options (WiFi / Ethernet) that means that the device is not supported.
Please let us know if you have success with this so that we can make a note of your USB wireless adapter’s chipset.
