Tip 1. Keep those pesky tools in their trays

Thanks you may need to put the magnets on the top. I have a different UTM and tools so have them on the bottom.

Tip 2: Easy automated organic fertilization

Thought I’d share. Been using a worm farm and this simple bit of kit (see below) for a few years. Just put in 20/80 worm juice/water mix and plug it into the hose. Best to filter the worm juice with a sieve when pouring. Tip 3: Repeatable accuracy - straight bed

Hey @TroyD I don’t mount it to wood. Again many people don’t need this level of accuracy and I also have other posts coming that even if you aren’t mounted to a bed that isn’t 100% accurate will show you how you can improve accuracy. I have seen another picture of a build on the forum that better demonstrates this. It places a metal bed on top of soil, note they didn’t fill the bed with soil, it just sits on top. Tip 4: Repeatable accuracy - upgrade your Farmduino

My next 3 tips will help improve accuracy on any type of bed so long as the x axis rails are fairly perpendicular. Upgrading from the old Ramps board to the Farmduino was crucial to obtaining the goal of repeatable accuracy. In the early days I stuffed around with adding end stops to the Ramps board for various reasons but I didn’t see much of a difference accuracy wise. Tip 5: Repeatable accuracy - mods to the belt system

I have made three cheap changes to my belt system. These changes reduce belt stretch, reduce the need to tighten belts, show me when a belt needs to be tightened and makes tightening much easier. Tip 6: Repeatable accuracy - home, home on the range

Many of you will know this one and the new Fambot Express and Genesis 1.5 I think is built with this in mind with the seed tray installed on the gantry. When you build your Farmbot think about where you should put your tool tray in order to maximize use of the home function.
