X-Axis water tube rupture

Recently I had the water tubing that comes from the garden hose, through the x-axis carrier, and to the solenoid rupture. I think this is due to the water line being under constant higher pressure. I fixed the problem by replacing it with 1/4" ID reinforced tubing.

I double checked with the docs and noticed that the pressure regulator was on the out side of the solenoid. I was curious if it would be better to have the regulator be moved to before the barbed connection for the water hose, or if this was an intentional design decision.

Look over these two posts:
1). Water solenoid & pressure regulator questions & request
2). Water pressure regulation

I think they both explain why the stock pressure regulator is positioned where it is as well as provide a possible solution to high supply line water psi.
